Switch and Switch 2: Choose Before You Buy

A separate Nintendo Switch 2 version is available for purchase. Two differences matter when deciding which version to buy:

• There is no Nintendo Switch 2 Edition upgrade pack for the Switch version.
• Save data cannot be shared between the Switch and Switch 2 versions.

Pick the version you intend to keep playing before building your sticker collection and unlocking outfits. Progress in the Switch version cannot be carried over through shared save data to the separate Switch 2 version.

The Nintendo Switch digital download requires 3.1 GB of storage and supports TV, tabletop, and handheld modes.

Does Multiplayer Cost Extra?

You can play with up to four players on one console. Nintendo Switch Online is required for online play, so include that membership in your budget if your group plans to connect over the internet.

The multiplayer options work differently:

• Local play: Select one to four players from the main menu. Additional players can select their user profiles or join as guests.
• Online play: Two to four players can join a session, and participants must be registered as Friends.
• Private rooms: The host can set a four-digit password for the room.

Add your group as Friends before organizing an online session. One player creates the room, and everyone else selects Search for Room to join. If you already have a Nintendo Switch Online membership, that satisfies the game's membership requirement.

What Comes With the Game?

The purchase includes more than a sequence of party rounds. You can meet over 145 Sanrio characters, collect their stickers, and team up with one of 16 playable Sanrio characters.

The main activities include:

• 45+ minigames, playable with friends offline or online.
• Three cooperative boards: Blooming Flower Festival, Tropical Twilight, and Sparkling Neon Night.
• Avatar customization, including hairstyles, facial features, clothing, and accessories.
• Creative activities, including making music with Melody Cake, designing pictures in Poster Studio, and taking photos.

Petit Games also give individual players something to do during board-game turns. Watch your timing: if your Petit Game is still running when your next turn arrives, that turn is skipped.

Clothing purchases at the Shopping Mall use coins earned through gameplay. Try outfits on before spending your coins, and use the Make-Up Salon to change your avatar's appearance for free.

You can save up to eight favorite clothing combinations for quick outfit changes. Playing or chatting with characters raises their friendship level, and a high enough friendship level can earn special clothing. Change your partner at the Partner Room in the Photo Studio.

Get the Free Launch Costumes

The October 29 launch update adds jinbei-style costumes for My Melody, Hangyodon, and Chococat at no extra charge.

To receive them:

1. Connect your Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch 2 to the internet.
2. Insert the physical game card or have the digital version installed.
3. Update the game software to the latest version.

The costumes install automatically with the update. Leave enough free space in system memory or on a microSD card for the update download.
