Hello Kitty Party Land Preorders: Editions & Bonuses

Can You Still Preorder Hello Kitty Party Land?

Hello Kitty Party Land preorders are over: the game launched on October 29, 2026, for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. You can now buy it digitally or physically, with both digital versions priced at $49.99. Before buying, compare the edition extras and choose your platform carefully—there is no Switch 2 upgrade pack, and saves cannot transfer between versions.

Digital purchases are available through Nintendo eShop, while physical copies are available through game retailers and online stores. Older preorder announcements refer to the period before launch; you can start playing now.

Standard, Day 1, and Premium Editions Compared

The three editions include the base game, with physical collectibles added to the Day 1 and Premium packages.

Day 1 EditionBase game, coloring book, sticker pack
Premium EditionBase game, sticker pack, coloring book, hologram cards, plush keychain

Day 1 Edition and Premium Edition are physical only. Their listed extras are physical collectibles, so distinguish those package contents from downloadable bonuses when choosing a copy.

Browse the Hello Kitty Party Land editions to choose an edition, platform, and store. The $49.99 price applies to the digital versions; compare the total for your chosen physical package before checkout.

Choose Your Switch Version Before Buying

The Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 releases are separate purchases. Both digital versions cost $49.99, so the platform choice deserves attention even when the prices match.

Keep these differences in mind:

  • The Nintendo Switch 2 version requires a Nintendo Switch 2 and cannot run on the original Nintendo Switch.
  • There is no Nintendo Switch 2 Edition upgrade pack for the Nintendo Switch version.
  • Save data cannot be shared between the two versions.

Choose the version you intend to play before starting a save. You can purchase the Nintendo Switch digital version or the Nintendo Switch 2 digital version directly.

Early Purchase Bonus and Free Launch Costumes

The Character T-Shirt is an early purchase bonus. It lets you apply collected stickers to the shirt through the Sticker Book, giving those character collectibles another use beyond filling its pages.

If your purchase includes a Character T-Shirt download code:

  1. Redeem the code through Nintendo eShop.
  2. Open the Sticker Book in the game.
  3. Move the cursor to the sticker you want.
  4. Use the sticker-pasting action to apply it to the Character T-Shirt.

There are also free launch costumes for My Melody, Hangyodon, and Chococat, each featuring a jinbei-style outfit. These arrive through a software update.

To receive them, connect your console to the internet with the physical game card inserted or the digital game installed, then update to the latest software version. The costumes install automatically with the update. Leave enough free storage space for the download.

What You Need for Multiplayer

You can play with up to four people on one console. Online sessions support two to four players, and you can only play online with users registered as Friends.

Online play requires a paid Nintendo Switch Online membership and a Nintendo Account. Add your group as Friends before setting up a session.

One player creates a room, and the others select Search for Room to join. The host can also set a four-digit password. Share that password with your group before starting.

The host handles shared actions such as menu selections, entering buildings, starting activities, and pausing, so decide who will host before everyone joins.

What Comes With the Base Game?

The base game includes 45+ minigames, 16 playable Sanrio characters, and more than 145 characters to meet and collect stickers from. You can customize your avatar, partner with a Sanrio character, and explore activities around Party Land.

Board Game mode offers three boards: Blooming Flower Festival, Tropical Twilight, and Sparkling Neon Night. Their cooperative objectives involve gathering flowers, droplets, or sparks. Quick Petit Games also give players something to do between turns.

Beyond those games, you can shop for outfits, take photos, make music with Melody Cake, and build pictures in Poster Studio. If dress-up is your main attraction, your avatar’s appearance can be changed for free at the Make-Up Salon on the Shopping Mall’s third floor.
