Is Hello Kitty Party Land Available on Nintendo Switch?
Hello Kitty Party Land Nintendo Switch brings together 45+ minigames, cooperative board games, and a whole crowd of Sanrio characters. Released on October 29, 2026, it supports solo play and groups of up to four players. Choose your platform carefully before buying, because the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 versions are separate purchases.
The Nintendo Switch digital version costs $49.99 and requires 3.1 GB of storage. Physical copies are also available. You can play in TV, tabletop, or handheld mode, so the original Switch version supports both television sessions and portable play.
The game includes American English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. Japanese is not available.
Nintendo Switch vs. Nintendo Switch 2
There is no Nintendo Switch 2 Edition upgrade pack for the Nintendo Switch version. Save data also cannot be shared between the two versions.
Pick the version you intend to keep playing before investing time in your sticker collection and avatar wardrobe. You can purchase the original console version through the Hello Kitty Party Land Nintendo Switch store page.
Which Edition Includes What?
There are three editions, with physical extras distinguishing the Day 1 and Premium packages.

| Edition | Contents | Format |
|---|---|---|
| Standard Edition | Base game | Digital or physical |
| Day 1 Edition | Base game, coloring book, sticker pack | Physical only |
| Premium Edition | Base game, sticker pack, coloring book, hologram cards, plush keychain | Physical only |
The $49.99 price applies to the Nintendo Switch digital version. The coloring book, sticker pack, hologram cards, and plush keychain are package extras; choose between those physical editions based on which items you want included.
How Local and Online Multiplayer Work
You can start a game with one to four players on the same console. Online sessions support two to four players and work with users registered as Nintendo Switch Friends.

Online play requires:
- A Nintendo Account.
- A paid Nintendo Switch Online membership.
- An internet connection.
- Friends to join your room or host one for you.
To host online, select Online, choose Create Room, adjust the room settings, and wait for your friends. Other players select Search for Room and choose the host’s room. You can also protect the room with a four-digit password.
Share that password before everyone starts searching, and leave enough time to finish the session without disconnecting.
Controllers and Host Responsibilities
Supported control layouts include a horizontal Joy-Con, two Joy-Cons, and a Nintendo Switch Pro Controller.
For local play, controller 1 is the host. Online, the person who creates the room becomes the host. That player handles shared actions such as menu selections, entering and leaving buildings, starting activities, using the camera, and pausing.
Give the host controller to someone comfortable navigating the menus. Other local players can join using their user profiles or as guests.
Before entering Party Land, you choose the difficulty, customize your appearance, and select a partner. Difficulty ranges from Easy to Super Hard and can be selected again whenever you start a game.
What You Actually Do in Party Land
Party Land combines a freely explored Hometown with minigames, cooperative boards, shopping, and creative activities. You can team up with one of 16 playable Sanrio characters, while meeting over 145 characters and collecting their stickers.
At the Game Park, the Minigame Corner lets you choose individual minigames. Look for present icons when picking activities: those games can introduce you to someone new.
Three Cooperative Board Games
The board games ask your group to gather and deliver resources before time runs out:
- Blooming Flower Festival: Collect flowers for Marroncream’s festival. Playing this board also makes Badtz-Maru available as a partner.
- Tropical Twilight: Climb the mountain and gather droplets to help Tiran and friends grow fruit.
- Sparkling Neon Night: Collect sparks to power Goropikadon’s live performance.
Turns use a roulette wheel to determine movement. Landing on a Minigame Space brings everyone into a minigame, where your performance earns resources for the board’s objective. Delivery quotas and time limits change with difficulty.
Petit Games give individual players something to do while others continue their turns. Finish your Petit Game before your next turn arrives—otherwise, that turn is skipped.
You can also use certain items during another player’s turn to help them. Check your available items while planning the group’s next delivery.
Stickers, Outfits, and Activities Between Games
Playing and talking with characters earns stickers for your Sticker Book. Friendship also increases as you spend time playing or chatting with partners, and higher friendship can lead to special clothing.
Spend earned coins at the Shopping Mall for clothes and accessories. Try items on before buying, and save favorite outfit combinations for quick changes; you can register up to eight sets.
Your initial appearance choices are adjustable later. Visit the Make-Up Salon on the Shopping Mall’s third floor to change your appearance for free. To switch partners, head to the Partner Room in the Photo Studio.
If you have the early purchase bonus Character T-Shirt, redeem its download code through Nintendo eShop. That shirt lets you apply collected stickers to it.
There are also activities beyond the board games:
- Melody Cake: Arrange decorations that produce percussion and melody, then save your creations.
- Poster Studio: Build pictures with layered stamps and turn sketchbook pages into an animation.
- Photo Studio: Take pictures using backdrops from minigames you have played.
- Waterwheel: Spend Waterwheel Tickets for prizes, including coins and special hairstyles.
Use the drone camera when characters ask you to find someone during hide-and-seek. Completing those requests earns Waterwheel Tickets.
