Where to Look for a Demo Download

Looking for a Hello Kitty Party Land demo before spending $49.99? The full game launched on October 29, 2026, for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. Choose your version carefully, because the two versions cannot share save data.

Start with the Nintendo Switch game page or the Nintendo Switch 2 game page to check for a separate demo download option. The $49.99 digital purchase is the full game.

Before buying, the key things to consider are the separate platform versions, cooperative activities, and friends-only online multiplayer.

Both digital versions have the same regular price, but their download sizes differ:

Nintendo Switch 2$49.993 GB

The Nintendo Switch 2 version requires a Switch 2 console. There is no Nintendo Switch 2 Edition upgrade pack for the Switch version, and saves cannot transfer between the two versions.

Physical choices include a Day 1 Edition with a coloring book and sticker pack. The Premium Edition adds hologram cards and a plush keychain alongside the game, coloring book, and sticker pack.

What You Can Play in the Full Game

Party Land combines cooperative board games, more than 45 minigames, and a town you can explore with a Sanrio partner. You can play as your custom avatar or your teammate, with 16 playable Sanrio characters available across the game.

Game Park contains three boards with different collection objectives:

  • Blooming Flower Festival: Gather flowers for Marroncream’s festival.
  • Tropical Twilight: Collect droplets to help Tiran and friends grow fruit.
  • Sparkling Neon Night: Gather sparks to power Goropikadon’s performance.

Everyone works toward the board’s delivery objectives. Minigame spaces bring the group together, while solo Petit Games let individual players earn resources during the action.

Watch your timing with Petit Games: if yours is still running when your next turn arrives, that turn gets skipped. Check the board map and use helpful items during another player’s turn when the item allows it.

For shorter sessions, visit the rightmost counter at Game Park to enter the Minigame Corner and choose individual minigames.

Local Multiplayer and Online Requirements

You can play with one to four players on the same console. Online sessions support two to four players and require a paid Nintendo Switch Online membership.

Online play is limited to registered friends. One player creates a room, and the others use Search for Room to join. Hosts can also set a four-digit room password.

The host controls several shared actions, including entering buildings, starting activities, using the camera, and opening the sticker book. Pick who will host before settling into a session, since that player handles much of the group’s navigation.

Minigame difficulty ranges from Easy to Super Hard, and you can select it again whenever you start a game.

Activities Beyond the Board Games

The town gives you more to do between minigame sessions:

  • Shopping Mall: Spend earned coins on clothes and accessories, try items on before buying, and change your appearance for free at the Make-Up Salon.
  • Sky Farm: Grow fruits and vegetables, go fishing, and explore the garden above the clouds.
  • Creative Labo: Build tunes with Melody Cake, create stamp-based pictures in Poster Studio, or play Labo Puzzle.
  • Photo Studio: Take group pictures with backdrops from minigames you have played.

You can meet over 145 Sanrio characters and collect their stickers. Playing and chatting with partners raises friendship, which can lead to special clothing.

For a specific early character unlock, play Blooming Flower Festival to make Badtz-Maru available as a partner.

How to Get the Launch Costumes

The October 29 launch update adds jinbei-style costumes for My Melody, Hangyodon, and Chococat.

To install them:

  1. Connect your Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch 2 to the internet.
  2. Insert the physical game card or have the digital game installed.
  3. Update the game software to the latest version.

The costumes install automatically with the update. Leave enough free space in system memory or on a microSD card for the update data.
