When Did Hello Kitty Party Land Come Out?
The Hello Kitty Party Land release date was October 29, 2026, and the game is available now on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. You can pick up a physical copy or download it through Nintendo eShop. Before buying, choose your version carefully: the two versions have separate purchases and saves.
Hello Kitty Party Land brings together Sanrio characters for cooperative board games, more than 45 minigames, avatar customization, and activities around a hub called Hometown. It supports solo play, local multiplayer, and online sessions with friends.
Choosing Your Switch Version
A separate Nintendo Switch 2 version is available. There is no Nintendo Switch 2 Edition upgrade pack for the Nintendo Switch version, and save data cannot be shared between the two versions.
Choose the version for the system where you intend to keep playing, especially if you plan to spend time collecting stickers and unlocking outfits.
The Nintendo Switch download has a listed file size of 3.1 GB and supports TV, tabletop, and handheld modes. American English is included among the supported languages; Japanese is not available.
Price and Physical Edition Extras
The Nintendo Switch digital edition costs $49.99. You can buy Hello Kitty Party Land for Nintendo Switch through Nintendo’s store.

For physical purchases, the edition determines which collectibles come with the game:
| Edition | Included contents | Format |
|---|---|---|
| Standard Edition | Base game | Digital or physical |
| Day 1 Edition | Base game, coloring book, sticker pack | Physical only |
| Premium Edition | Base game, sticker pack, coloring book, hologram cards, plush keychain | Physical only |
The physical extras are separate from the stickers you collect during play. In-game stickers come from activities such as talking with characters and completing minigames.
How Local and Online Multiplayer Work
You can play with one to four players on the same console. Online sessions support two to four players and require a paid Nintendo Switch Online membership.

Online play works with users registered as Friends. Arrange your group before starting, then have one player create a room while everyone else selects Search for Room. The host can also protect the room with a four-digit password.
The host handles several shared actions, including:
- Choosing menus and entering or leaving buildings.
- Starting board games, minigames, and creative activities.
- Using the camera and opening the sticker book.
- Pausing the game.
Pick a host who is ready to guide the session through those shared choices. Difficulty can be selected each time you start a game, with options ranging from Easy to Super Hard.
What You Can Play at Launch
There are 16 playable Sanrio characters to partner with, plus over 145 characters to meet and collect stickers of. You can play as your customized avatar or your selected teammate.
Board Game Mode has three boards, each built around a shared collection objective:
- Blooming Flower Festival: Gather flowers for Marroncream’s festival. Playing this board also makes Badtz-Maru available as a partner.
- Tropical Twilight: Collect droplets to help Tiran and friends grow fruit.
- Sparkling Neon Night: Gather sparks to power Goropikadon’s performance.
Petit Games give individual players something to do during board-game turns. Watch the timing: if your Petit Game is still running when your next turn arrives, that turn is skipped.
Between board games, explore Hometown to shop for clothing, take photos, or visit the Creative Labo. Melody Cake lets you build music through cake decorations, while Poster Studio lets you create pictures with layered stamps.
For a shorter session, head to the Minigame Corner at the Game Park to choose minigames directly. Look for present icons while browsing; those games offer opportunities to meet additional characters.
How to Get the Free Launch Costumes
The October 29 launch update adds jinbei-style costumes for My Melody, Hangyodon, and Chococat.
To get them:
- Connect your Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch 2 to the internet.
- Insert your physical game card or have the digital version installed.

The costumes install automatically with the update. Leave enough free space in system memory or on a microSD card for the update data before downloading.
