What Comes in the Premium Edition?

The Hello Kitty Party Land premium edition pairs the base game with physical Sanrio collectibles, including a plush keychain and hologram cards. Those extras make the edition comparison useful when you're choosing a gift or adding to your collection. The game launched on October 29, 2026, for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.

Here's how the three editions compare:

Premium adds the hologram cards and plush keychain to the contents included in the Day 1 package. Both physical bundles include a coloring book and sticker pack.

Keep those physical stickers separate from the stickers you collect inside Party Land. The game has its own Sticker Book, filled by talking with characters and playing minigames.

To choose your package, select an edition and platform on the game's website.

Choose the Correct Switch Version

Hello Kitty Party Land has separate Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 versions. Check the platform when selecting your copy, especially if you're buying it for someone else.

The Nintendo Switch 2 version:

• Runs exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2.
• Cannot be used on the original Nintendo Switch.
• Has no Nintendo Switch 2 Edition upgrade pack available for the separate Switch version.
• Does not share save data with the Switch version.

Choose the version for the system where you intend to play before starting your adventure. Your progress cannot move between these two versions.

The Nintendo Switch 2 digital version costs $49.99 and requires 3 GB of storage. That is the digital game purchase; Premium is a physical package.

What's in the Base Game?

Party Land combines cooperative games with shopping, character customization, and creative activities. You can meet over 145 Sanrio characters, collect their stickers, and choose from 16 playable Sanrio partners.

Game Park features 45+ minigames and three cooperative boards:

• Blooming Flower Festival: Gather flowers for Marroncream's festival.
• Tropical Twilight: Collect droplets to help Tiran and friends grow fruit.
• Sparkling Neon Night: Gather sparks to power Goropikadon's performance.

Board games revolve around collecting and delivering the required resources. Petit Games give individual players something to do while other players continue their turns. Finish yours before your next turn arrives, or that turn gets skipped.

Away from the boards, spend earned coins on clothing and accessories at the Shopping Mall. Try items on before purchasing them, and use the Make-Up Salon to change your avatar's appearance for free.

Sky Farm offers growing and fishing activities, while the Creative Labo lets you build tunes with Melody Cake, create stamp-based pictures in the Poster Studio, and play puzzles. The Photo Studio provides backdrops based on minigames you've played.

Local and Online Multiplayer

You can play solo or bring up to four players together on one console. Online sessions support 2–4 players, require a paid Nintendo Switch Online membership, and work with users registered as Friends.

For an online session, one player creates a room and the others select Search for Room. The host can protect the room with a four-digit password.

The host also handles shared actions such as menu selections, entering buildings, opening the Sticker Book, and starting activities. Pick your host before settling into a group session so everyone knows who controls those choices.

Launch Costumes and the Early Purchase Bonus

The free launch update adds jinbei-style costumes for My Melody, Hangyodon, and Chococat. These are delivered through a software update.

To get them:

1. Connect your console to the internet.
2. Insert the physical game's card or have the digital version installed.
3. Update the software to the latest version.

The costumes install automatically with the update. Leave enough free storage for the download.

The Character T-Shirt is a separate early purchase bonus redeemed with a download code through Nintendo eShop. Once you have it, open the Sticker Book, highlight a collected sticker, and use the paste action to apply it to the shirt.
