Who Developed Hello Kitty Party Land?

The Hello Kitty Party Land developer is G-Style Co. Ltd. Knowing the studio’s name helps separate who made the game from the companies behind its publishing and characters. Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc. is the publisher, while Hello Kitty and her fellow Sanrio characters bring the familiar faces.

There’s another name attached to the release: Sanrio Games. Party Land is the first title under Sanrio’s own gaming brand. That makes G-Style the development credit, Bandai Namco the publishing credit, and Sanrio Games the brand associated with Sanrio’s gaming launch.

Release Date and Nintendo Switch Versions

Hello Kitty Party Land launched on October 29, 2026, for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. Physical and digital versions are available.

Before buying, choose your version carefully:

  • The Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 versions are separate purchases.
  • The Switch version has no Switch 2 Edition upgrade pack.
  • Save data cannot be shared between the two versions.

The Nintendo Switch digital version costs $49.99 on the US Nintendo eShop. You can purchase it through the Hello Kitty Party Land Nintendo Switch store page.

For physical copies, the Day 1 Edition includes the base game, a coloring book, and a sticker pack. The Premium Edition adds hologram cards and a plush keychain to those contents.

What Kind of Party Game Did G-Style Make?

Party Land combines cooperative board games, minigames, avatar customization, and creative activities. You can meet over 145 Sanrio characters, collect their stickers, and team up with one of 16 playable Sanrio characters.

The game includes 45+ minigames, with local play for one to four players. Online sessions support two to four players and require a paid Nintendo Switch Online membership. Online play is limited to registered friends.

For a shared session, decide who should host before starting. The host handles menu choices, entering and leaving buildings, starting activities, camera use, and pausing.

The three board games give your group different collection goals:

  • Blooming Flower Festival: Gather flowers for Marroncream’s festival. Playing this board also makes Badtz-Maru available as a partner.
  • Tropical Twilight: Collect droplets to help Tiran and friends grow fruit.
  • Sparkling Neon Night: Gather sparks to power Goropikadon’s performance.

On Medium difficulty, Blooming Flower Festival requires each player to gather 150 flowers, with one Delivery Space. Tropical Twilight has four Delivery Spaces requiring 150 droplets each, while Sparkling Neon Night has three requiring 200 sparks each. Delivery quotas and time limits change with difficulty.

Each board-game turn starts with a roulette spin, and a day ends after everyone takes a turn. Landing on a Minigame Space brings everyone together for a minigame. Petit Games work differently: one player can tackle one while the others continue their turns. Finish your Petit Game before your next turn to avoid having that turn skipped. Completing the delivery quota ends the board game, but running out of days still awards coins based on results.

Between board games, Hometown gives you room to explore with your partner. Spend earned coins on clothing, take photos, or visit Creative Labo to build tunes with Melody Cake and create layered pictures in Poster Studio.

If you want to change your avatar after starting, visit the Make-Up Salon on the Shopping Mall’s third floor. Appearance changes there are free. To switch partners, head to the Partner Room in the Photo Studio.
