How Does Progression Work in Party Land?
Your next unlock can come from a board game, a conversation, or a visit to the Minigame Corner. Hello Kitty Party Land progression connects several activities: earning coins, building friendships, collecting stickers, and opening more Hometown facilities. Knowing which activity feeds each reward helps you work toward the outfit, partner, or collectible you want.
Coins come from your results in the board game and other modes, while friendship grows through playing and chatting with characters. More facilities and customization items become available as you progress.
Start with this route:
- Choose your difficulty and partner. Difficulty can be selected again whenever you start a game.
- Play Blooming Flower Festival. Playing this board makes Badtz-Maru available as a partner.
- Check the Minigame Corner for present icons. These mark opportunities to meet someone new.
- Spend time with characters between games. Conversations and shared play increase friendship, which can lead to special clothing.
Your starting appearance and partner are flexible. Change your appearance for free at the Make-Up Salon on the Shopping Mall’s third floor, or switch partners at the Partner Room in the Photo Studio.

Complete Board Objectives and Earn Coins
Start a board game by talking to the center receptionist at the Game Park. Each board has its own collectible and delivery objective.

These requirements apply specifically to Medium difficulty:
| Board | What you collect | Delivery requirement |
|---|---|---|
| Blooming Flower Festival | Flowers | Each player gathers 150 flowers; there is one Delivery Space |
| Tropical Twilight | Droplets | Four Delivery Spaces require 150 droplets each |
| Sparkling Neon Night | Sparks | Three Delivery Spaces require 200 sparks each |
Difficulty changes both the delivery quota and the time limit. Check your current objective rather than carrying Medium requirements into another difficulty.
During each turn, spin the roulette and move the number of spaces shown. A day ends after everyone has taken a turn. Minigame Spaces bring everyone into a shared minigame, where performance earns flowers, droplets, or sparks.
Deliver what you collect. Reach the designated delivery location and choose Give or Charge. In Blooming Flower Festival, Marroncream also picks up flowers herself on certain days.
Use these mechanics to protect your progress:
- Check the map during your turn. Locate delivery spaces before choosing a route at a junction.
- Finish Petit Games before your next turn. An unfinished Petit Game causes that turn to be skipped.
- Check item timing. Some items can help another player during their turn.
- Weigh repeat challenges carefully. Challenge Spaces let you keep playing for more resources, but failure penalizes your current holdings.
Reaching the quota ends the board game and leads to coin rewards based on results. You also earn coins if the remaining days reach zero. Performing well in the final minigame earns a Last Game Bonus, so keep playing through the finish.
Turn Coins and Waterwheel Tickets Into Rewards
Coins pay for purchases at the Shopping Mall, including clothing and accessories. Try clothing on before buying it, and check the merchandise display: a check mark identifies items you already own.

Once you have an outfit you like, register it through the Game Pad’s Favorites menu. You can save up to eight clothing sets for quick changes. Uniforms cannot be combined with separate tops or bottoms.
Waterwheel Tickets use a separate reward system. You receive them after a certain amount of time passes, and helping with hide-and-seek requests can also award tickets.
To use them:
- Find the Waterwheel beside the Creative Labo.
- Spend a Waterwheel Ticket to draw a prize.
- Collect the result, which can include coins or special hairstyles.
For hide-and-seek requests, use the drone camera to search for the missing character. Its adjustable viewpoint lets you inspect the surrounding area from different angles.
Build Friendships for Special Clothing
The game features 16 playable Sanrio characters, with available partners displayed in the Game Pad’s Partner menu. The stars above each character show their friendship level.
Friendship increases a little whenever you play or chat with that character. Spend time with the character whose clothing you want, and check their stars as you go. A high enough friendship level can earn you a special clothing set.
To access a friendship outfit, open the Partner menu, navigate to Friends, and select the set. Special clothing can also be found at the cave.
Keep partner selection separate from friendship rewards in your planning. Badtz-Maru becomes available by playing Blooming Flower Festival, while special friendship clothing comes from strengthening your relationship with a character.
Collect Stickers Through Conversations and Minigames
Party Land includes more than 145 Sanrio characters to meet, with stickers to collect through conversations and minigames. Open the Sticker Book to inspect your collection and move the cursor over a sticker to see its name.
At the Game Park, visit the rightmost counter to enter the Minigame Corner. You can freely choose minigames there, making it a useful place to pursue specific collection opportunities.
Watch for these indicators:
- Present icons: Mark minigames where you might meet a new character.
- Three crown icons: Track the Easy, Medium, and Super Hard difficulty levels.
- Blue present icons: Point toward special sticker rewards associated with clearing every difficulty level.
Minigame difficulty can change with your performance. Check the crowns when returning to a game to see its difficulty level.
If you own the Character T-Shirt, you can apply collected stickers to it through the Sticker Book. This top is an early purchase bonus redeemed with its Nintendo eShop download code; collect stickers through normal play, then use them to customize the shirt.
Check New Facilities, Tool Levels, and Photo Backdrops
The number of usable Hometown facilities increases as you progress. Revisit the town between games to explore the activities available to you.
At the Creative Labo, the Labo Puzzle can award coins, stickers, or tools. The Game Pad’s Inventory menu displays your Watering Can, Shovel, Fishing Rod, Fruit Basket, and Bug Net. Each tool has an ability-level gauge, so inspect that display to check its current level.
Other activities have their own collection or creation goals:
- Sky Farm: Play a selection of Petit Games.
- Melody Cake: Create musical cakes and save them in four catalogs, each holding up to 16 cakes.
- Poster Studio: Build pictures from layered stamps and save them in four Sketchbooks, each holding up to 16 pictures.
- Photo Studio: Use minigames you have played as photo backdrops.
For more Photo Studio backdrop choices, play different minigames. That gives you another reason to branch out while working on stickers and difficulty crowns.
