Hello Kitty Party Land Mini Games: How to Play and Win

How Many Mini Games Can You Play?

Bring a partner: Hello Kitty Party Land mini games offer 45+ games to enjoy alongside Sanrio characters. Cooperative challenges help your group gather resources in Board Game mode, while the Minigame Corner lets you play them directly. Smaller solo activities called Petit Games keep you busy between turns—but taking too long on one can cost you your next turn.

The game supports one to four players on the same console and two to four players online. You can team up with one of 16 playable Sanrio characters and play as your avatar or your teammate.

The distinction to learn early is how each activity involves the group:

  • Minigames: Everyone works together to clear a challenge.
  • Petit Games: One player handles a separate activity on the Game Pad while the others continue playing.
  • Board games: Your group moves around a map, triggers activities, and delivers resources toward a shared objective.

Where to Find the Minigame Corner

Head to Game Park, then interact with its rightmost counter to enter the Minigame Corner. This is where you can freely choose minigames without waiting to land on a particular board space.

Before starting a challenge, read its rules and select a partner. Look for entries marked with a present icon for opportunities to meet someone new.

Use the corner to revisit challenges whose rules you want to learn before tackling them during a board game. During board play, your performance determines how many flowers, droplets, or sparks you earn, so understanding the objective helps you contribute to the delivery goal.

Game Park also houses the board game receptionist at its center. Choose that counter when you want a longer session built around movement, resource gathering, and deliveries.

How Minigames Work in Board Game Mode

Board Game mode has three maps, each with a different collection objective. On your turn, stop the roulette wheel, move the number of spaces shown, and choose your route when the path branches.

Landing on a Minigame Space brings everyone into a cooperative challenge. Playing well earns the resource used on that board.

These delivery requirements apply specifically to Medium difficulty:

BoardWhat you collectDelivery requirement
Blooming Flower FestivalFlowersEach player gathers 150 flowers; there is one Delivery Space
Tropical TwilightDropletsFour Delivery Spaces need 150 droplets each
Sparkling Neon NightSparksThree Delivery Spaces need 200 sparks each

In Blooming Flower Festival, Marroncream also collects flowers herself on certain days. For the other boards, plan your movement around the delivery locations rather than concentrating only on gathering more resources.

Open the map during your turn to inspect the layout before choosing a branch. At a delivery location, select Give or Charge to hand over what you have collected.

A day ends after everyone has taken a turn. Meeting the delivery quota finishes the board; running out of days also ends the session, but you still receive coins based on your results. Delivery quotas and time limits change with difficulty.

Watch for two additional opportunities:

  • Helpful items: Some can be used during another player’s turn to assist them.
  • Last Game Bonus: Performing well in the final minigame earns a bonus.

Playing Blooming Flower Festival also makes Badtz-Maru available as a partner.

Petit Games: Stay Busy Without Missing Your Turn

Petit Games run on the Game Pad at the top of the screen. They are solo activities, and everyone else can keep moving through their turns while you play.

During a board game, working at a Shop Space starts a Petit Game that can earn flowers, droplets, or sparks. Shop Spaces also let you exchange those resources for items.

The timing rule matters: if your Petit Game is still running when your next turn arrives, that turn is skipped. Finish before your turn comes around again to keep moving toward the delivery spaces.

Other spaces change the risk:

  • Challenge Space: Clear a Petit Game and you can continue challenging it for more resources. Failure penalizes your current supply.
  • TV Game Space: On Sparkling Neon Night, entering costs 10 sparks. Winning increases your sparks, while failure takes away some you already have.

Check your current supply before continuing a Challenge Space streak, especially when you are close to completing a delivery.

For Petit Games outside the boards, visit Sky Farm, the garden above the clouds.

Difficulty, Stickers, and Other Rewards

You choose the minigame difficulty before entering Party Land, with settings ranging from Easy to Super Hard. You can select the difficulty again whenever you start a game.

At the Minigame Corner, three crown icons track Easy, Medium, and Super Hard difficulty. The difficulty can change with your performance. Clearing every difficulty level can reward a special sticker; look for the blue present icon when pursuing those challenges.

Minigames also connect to the wider collection and customization systems:

  • Stickers: Playing minigames and talking with characters adds stickers to your Sticker Book.
  • Friendship: Playing or chatting with a partner increases their friendship level. Higher friendship can lead to special clothing.
  • Photo backdrops: The Photo Studio lets you use minigames you have played as backgrounds.
  • Coins: Board game results award coins to spend at the Shopping Mall.

Keep playing with a favorite partner to build friendship, and revisit challenges across their difficulty levels when working on your sticker collection.

Setting Up Local and Online Multiplayer

For a shared-console session, choose one to four players from the main menu. Controller 1 becomes the host, and additional players can select a user profile or join as guests.

The host handles menu selections, starting minigames and board games, entering buildings, and pausing. Let that player know when everyone is ready before launching an activity.

Online play supports two to four players and works with users registered as Friends. A Nintendo Account, internet access, and a paid Nintendo Switch Online membership are required.

To start an online session:

  1. Select Online from the main menu.
  2. Have one player choose Create Room and set the room options.
  3. Have the other players choose Search for Room and select the host’s room.
  4. Wait for everyone to join, then start the game.

The host can protect the room with a four-digit password. Share it with your group before they search, and leave enough time to finish the board before starting.
