Stickers: Who to Talk to and What to Play
Your next sticker could come from chatting with a Sanrio friend or clearing a minigame. This Hello Kitty Party Land collectibles guide walks you through stickers, special outfits, hairstyles, and photo backdrops so you can target the rewards you want. With over 145 characters to meet, keep conversations in your routine alongside the games.
Talk with friends and play minigames to collect stickers, then browse your collection in the Sticker Book. The Labo Puzzle at the Creative Labo also offers stickers among its rewards, along with coins and tools.
Follow the Present Icons
Head to the rightmost counter at the Game Park to enter the Minigame Corner. You can freely choose minigames here, making it a useful place to pursue the reward markers you spot.
Watch for two things:
- Present icons: These mark minigames where you could meet someone new.
- Blue present icons: Look for these when pursuing special stickers tied to clearing every difficulty level.
The three crown icons represent Easy, Medium, and Super Hard. Difficulty can change with your performance, so check the crowns as you work through a game.
Browse Your Sticker Book
The default controls depend on your controller setup:
| Action | Horizontal Joy-Con | Two Joy-Cons or Pro Controller |
|---|---|---|
| Open the Sticker Book in Hometown | Left Button | Y |
| Open the Game Pad in Hometown | Top Button | X |
Inside the Sticker Book, move the cursor over a sticker to see its name. With a horizontal Joy-Con, use SL or SR to turn pages, or select an empty space with the Right Button.
During multiplayer, the host controls opening the Sticker Book. Ask the host to open it when your group wants to browse.

Clothing, Friendship Outfits, and Cave Rewards
Clothing comes through several activities. Separate your shopping goals from friendship rewards so you know whether to earn coins, spend time with a character, or explore.

| Collectible | Location or Menu | How to Get It |
|---|---|---|
| Clothing and accessories | Shopping Mall stores | Purchase merchandise with coins |
| Special friendship clothing | Partner menu → Friends | Raise friendship by playing or chatting with the character |
| Special clothing | Cave | Find clothing there while exploring |
Friendship appears as star icons above each character in the Partner menu. Playing or chatting with a character increases it a little at a time, and a high enough friendship level can earn you special clothing.
To access a special clothing set, open the Game Pad, enter the Partner menu, navigate to Friends, and select the set.
At the Shopping Mall, you control your partner while buying merchandise. Stand in front of a shelf and interact to display an item on the Game Pad. Try clothing on before spending coins, and check for the ownership check mark when reviewing merchandise.
Choose a clothing style before selecting its color. Uniforms cannot be combined with separate tops or bottoms. Once you like an outfit, save it through Favorites; you can register up to eight sets.
For changes to your character’s appearance, visit the Make-Up Salon on the Shopping Mall’s third floor. Those changes are free.
Waterwheel Tickets and Special Hairstyles
The Waterwheel beside the Creative Labo accepts Waterwheel Tickets for prize draws. Rewards include coins and special hairstyles.

Tickets become available as time passes. You can also earn them by helping friends with hide-and-seek requests in Hometown and other areas.
When someone asks you to find a missing friend:
- Accept the request through the character interaction.
- Use the drone camera to search.
- Find the character and collect the Waterwheel Ticket reward.
- Take your tickets to the Waterwheel for prize draws.
Work these requests into your exploration if you are chasing hairstyles. Each draw offers a possible reward, so keep shopping coins and Waterwheel Tickets separate when planning your next unlock.
Free Launch Costumes and the Character T-Shirt
The October 29, 2026 launch update adds jinbei-style costumes for My Melody, Hangyodon, and Chococat.
To receive them:
- Connect your Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch 2 to the internet.
- Insert your physical game card, or have the digital game installed.
- Update the software to the latest version.
The costumes install automatically with the update. Leave enough free space in system memory or on a microSD card for the download.
Put Stickers on the Character T-Shirt
The Character T-Shirt is an early purchase bonus redeemed with a download code through Nintendo eShop.
If you have that top, you can decorate it with collected stickers. On a horizontal Joy-Con:
- Open the Sticker Book.
- Move the cursor over the sticker you want.
- Press the Left Button to apply it.
Redeem your bonus code before trying to use this feature.
Photo Studio Backdrops and Partner Unlocks
Playing minigames also expands your Photo Studio options. Minigames you have played become available as photo backdrops, so try different games when you want more settings for commemorative pictures.
Photos are saved to your system storage. Choose a backdrop at the Photo Studio, then use the camera to capture your character and friends.
For another unlock to pursue, play Blooming Flower Festival. Doing so makes Badtz-Maru available as a partner. You can change partners later at the Partner Room inside the Photo Studio.
